Dr. Joan Ogden graduated in 1995 from the University
of Minnesota. She completed an internship in small
animal medicine and surgery at the Angell Memorial
Animal Hospital in Boston. Following her internship, she
spent a delightful year on Martha’s Vineyard providing
care to both small and large animals. In 1997, Dr
Ogden joined her good friend and intern-mate Dr.
Westphal in a small animal practice near the South
Shore.
Dr. Sharon Westphal also graduated in 1995 from the
University of Pennsylvania. She met Dr. Ogden during
her 13-month internship in small animal medicine and
surgery at the Angell Memorial Animal Hospital. Dr.
Westphal practiced for several years in a busy small
animal practice on the South Shore before moving to
Southborough to bring new life to the existing veterinary
practice here.

Dr. Kerri Davis joined our practice in February of 2009.
Dr. Davis completed her veterinary training at the
University of Pennsylvania, where she graduated Magna
Cum Laude. She comes to us with many years of
experience in veterinary hospitals in Massachusetts as
well as Arizona and New Jersey.
Dr. Davis has excellent diagnostic, technical and
interactive skills. Her love of animals and people is
obvious in the way she unfailingly gives each patient
(and owner) her undivided attention and care. We
greatly appreciate her thorough and careful approach
to each problem. Dr. Davis enjoys all aspects of
veterinary medicine ranging from wellness counseling
for puppies and kittens to managing the more complex
medical issues that arise in our older patients.

Southborough Veterinary Hospital from Dr. Ovid Fraser,
who owned the practice since its inception 26 years
prior. Together, the 2 veterinarians have worked many
long hours to provide high quality veterinary care to the
animals of Southborough and surrounding towns. They
enjoy the day to day challenges encountered in general
practice, both medical and surgical. They also enjoy
serving the community in various ways – rabies clinic,
school presentations and providing mentorship to young
people interested in the field.
Dr. Ogden lives in Lancaster with her husband, 2 young
daughters and 2 dogs, numerous goldfish and a steady
stream of foster cats.

son, daughter, two kitties and one large and happy dog.
